This BHP rear sight uses a Heinie proprietary dovetail cut. It features the Classic design. It is the original rear design produced by Heinie and offers a clear, crisp sight picture when paired with the Heinie cross dovetail front. One single tritium insert in the rear (for low-light and night-time shooting) that aligns vertically with a single tritium front insert (when used as a set) creates a distinctly clear sight picture. This vertical alignment is proven to be faster and less confusing for the human eye.
Machining of the slide is required for installation. Heinie recommends using a competent pistolsmith for installation. HSP offers installation, turn around time is currently running about 1-2 weeks.
Blued finish, rust preventative is recommended.
