The first Heinie® Sight was designed by Richard Heinie in the late 1970's. This first Heinie® Sight replaced the adjustable sight used by many IPSC competitors. This sight became available to the general public in 1981.

The Classic sight design is the format that was first manufactured and marketed by Heinie®. The Classic style is offered for our 1911, Browning Hi-Power and Glock sights.
