Sight Options

QWIK™

The QWIK™ name, suggest exactly what these sights offer. The Heinie® QWIK™ option is available for every sight Heinie® offers. QWIK™ is the option of having a .156 wide rear notch with a .120 depth that allows faster acquisition of the front sight by allowing more visible light on each side. This option is great for aging eyes as well as competitive shooters.

3-D

3-D, or 3-Dot, is a night sight design consisting of one tritium dot in the front paired with a rear that has two smaller tritium dots. The rear tritium dots are made smaller for a less confusing sight picture in a low-light or night time situation. With the rear tritium dots smaller, it allows the shooter to determine which glowing dot is the front, aiding in sight/target acquisition.

Straight Eight®

The Straight Eight® Night Sight Configuration consists of a tritium dot in the front and a slightly smaller tritium dot in the rear. Tritium dots glow green in the dark (night sights). When aligning this sight picture, one dot is on top of the other dot making an elongated figure eight; thus, the Straight Eight®. The tritium dots have a ten year warranty.

50+

The 50+ Sight Set utilizes the Heinie® QWIK™ rear and is paired with a Dawson fiber-optic front. The QWIK™ rear offers a faster acquisition of the front sight because it allows more light to show on each side of the front sight. The front sight has a fiber-optic dot that glows during the day which helps draw the eye to the front creating a clean sight picture for older eyes.
